Rules

  • Entrants must be current paid up members of the North Wales Hang gliding and Paragliding Club (NWHGPC) & BHPA.
  • All Flights are to be foot launched from NWHGPC administered sites (or Moel y Parc, but see guidelines at foot of flight logging form for use of this hill).
  • Any eligible flight must be over 5Km in length.
  • The majority of flights should be out of ridge lift.
  • Entrants must be qualified to fly XC. (Either Pilot rated or checked out by senior coach or instructor).
  • All flights must comply with current Air Law.
  • All flights must comply with any site restrictions in force as listed on the club website.
  • All entries must be logged within one week of the flight.
  • All entrants must agree to allow their name and flight details to be published on the Internet.
  • If pilots log their flights in the National Leagues, we request that they enter them under the NWHGPC club.
  • The Competition Year runs from 1st November until 31st October
  • No cheating!

Scoring

  • Open distance flights score the linear distance between the takeoff location and the landing location
  • Both triangle and out and return flights score double the distance from takeoff via TP1 and TP2 and back to takeoff
